About Us

The North Coast Labour Council* provides a common voice for over 1,000 union members in the North Coast Regional District.

Our work is conducted in Ts’msyen and Haida territories – in solidarity with the peoples of the Ts’msyen, Haida, Nisga’a, Haisla, Gitxsan, Heiltsuk, Wet’suwet’en, Tlingit, and other First Nations.

Delegates from local union affiliates serve on the North Coast Labour Council and work together for the benefit of all communities in the North Coast Regional District.

It is also the local organization of the Canadian Labour Congress, which represents 3.2 million unionized workers across Canada.

(*Note: Our official name remains Prince Rupert Labour Council until we finalize the change to our Bylaws.)
